‘Pak a Bag’ Evening

This coming Tuesday at 7pm we will be holding another ‘Pak a Bag’ evening a the church. This will be the 8th of these evenings we have held and once again, any help is greatly appreciated & all are very welcome!

The bags that we produce are sent to Nick & Sheila Court from Step Wise Youth Ministries (SWYM) in South Africa where they are distributed to boys and girls in the schools that they visit.

PakaBagThis is being coordinated by Hazel Gray – here is a reminder of what practical things are needed:

“We want people who can either use a sewing machine, cut out, iron, sew on buttons or just make tea and coffee to keep everyone going.
We need thick fabric eg. old curtains, denim, winter weight skirts etc. for the main part of the bag and thinner cotton fabric for the straps. We also need thread to sew the bag together and buttons – about 1″ in diameter- 2 for each bag.
We are also asking for donations of money to buy the items which will be put in the bags – school materials and personal hygiene items.”

For more information, please contact Hazel direct, or send a message here.
